Mental health is a very crucial problem that needs to be considered and taken care of. Nigeria's health sector has gone bad, which has made health care a very poor one and has led to an increase in several types of illness, including mental illness and a very big problem. According to the World health organisation (WHO), it is said that about fifty million people are suffering from mental health problem.Mental health simply refers to cognitive, behavioural, and emotional well-being. It is all about how people think, feel and behave. Mental health can affect daily living, relationships and physical health. Looking after mental health can preserve a person's ability to enjoy life. Regular exercise can boost one's self-esteem and can help one concentrate, sleep and feel better. Exercise keeps the brain and other vital organs healthy, and it is also a significant benefit towards improving one's mental health.Eating well: Good eating habits help the organs in the body to function well. The brain needs a mix of nutrients to stay healthy and function well, just like the other organs in the body. A diet that's good for one's physical health is also good for one's mental health.Ask for help: No one is superhuman. We all sometimes get tired or overwhelmed by how we feel or when things don't go the way we plan. If things are getting too much and you feel you can't cope, ask for help from family, friends or professionals in that field. Because when the brain is disturbed it disrupts the body system.Take a break: The body is not a machine that can work for a long period without rest. Even machines break down too when excess pressure, the load is applied on it. Therefore a change of scene or a change of pace is good for mental health.
